Decades: A Century of Fashion

We were delighted to be invited to work with the most celebrated vintage fashion expert in Hollywood, Cameron Silver, who has owned Decades, the renowned vintage boutique on Melrose Avenue, since 1997. Silver authored this decade-by-decade guide to the most influential looks of the last century. Our concept for the design was built around fabric swatches, with images and text overlaid and juxtaposed so that no two spreads look the same. The over-sized format and reduced width was not only a functional decision to help frame the many catwalk images but also complemented the sartorial styles showcased in this visually stunning book.
