Cambridge Central Mosque:
The Sacred Imagined

Grade was delighted to be invited to work with publisher Lund Humphries and the renowned Marks Barfield Architects on the first book dedicated to the multi-award-winning Cambridge Central Mosque, a building that has redefined what a British mosque can be in the 21st century. This truly innovative project is both sustainable and thoughtfully integrated—socially and architecturally—into its neighbourhood. The book explores the inspiration behind the mosque’s design as well as the technical challenges involved in developing such an ambitious and pioneering engineering solution.
